A work in progress...

History

The Jackson County Library was established in 1962. It has had various locations but curretnly resides at 910 Main Street. The current building needs a lot of work, and our Friends Group is working extremely hard to help fund a new building at the corner of Main Street and Hickory. The land has been donated and surveyed and is anxiously awaiting a new library and community room for the Jackson County community and residents. Upcoming fund-rasing events include the the Ladies Extravaganza in the spring of 2023. If anyone is interested in joining the Friends Group to make a new library a reality, please stop down at the lbirary or call (605) 837-2689 for the next meeting date.

Recent News

Our new window has finally been installed. It is absolutely beautiful compared to the plywood we have been looking at since the June storms. Now the hunt is on to find another one for the south side.

Our next library board meeting is on Wednesday, February 8th at 5:00.
